Note
Though Bartók’s own solo piano version of the Dance Suite exists, it by necessity leaves out much of the brilliant detail of the orchestral version, while nonetheless being extremely technically strenuous. I created this two-piano arrangement from the original score in order to restore some of that instrumental detail and in the process, something of a more orchestral quality to the work.
